If you get to point, logging in to your Chromebook, where it asks you for your "Old Password", simply click on the blue link that says "I Forgot my Old Password".  On the next screen that pops up look to the bottom right corner of that login window. There you will see a clickable button called "Proceed Anyways". After clicking this button it will begin to sign you in normally.
